Seasons Greetings! Our 2000 Holiday Newsletter.

Pictures from our trip to Europe, 2000. Congratulations, you made it!  You're very adventurous. And ain't we fancy throwin' our holiday newsletter up on the World Wide Web for all (who can get here) to see?

Truth is, this saved us money and time... several trees were spared... And it saved you one extra trip to the trash can with our "paper" newsletter. (Traditionalists, please note: You can always print out a copy of these pages if you desire to actually keep them. We have no idea how long we will keep this posted, or even if it's a good idea yet.)

By having our newsletter available on the Internet, you can now point and click your way to holiday boredom... wondering, "Why do they think we'd be interested in all this stuff?" Well, we're hoping that you are, at least to a point, which is why you've made it this far. Let's face it, you did actually type or cut-and-paste the URL address into your browser to get here. Good for you! You're up for a new experience. We'll try to make your visit here a pleasant one.

Another year has passed, and we're older and wider... uh, we mean wiser. Yeah, right. What an incredible year! Do we know who's president yet? At the writing of this letter, it's still up in the air. Regardless of any political bias on behalf of the writers or the readers, isn't this a fascinating time we live in? Very historical (or hysterical). Stephen and Paul are actually enjoying the process as it plays out in the courts, the media, and even the streets!

You might have noticed that within the URL address for this page you had to type in www.andreaking.com. This is Paul's very own fan page for our dear friend, actress Andrea King. Check it out, if you have the time. Paul published this site for many reasons: 1) To see if he could actually do it; 2) Because Andrea gave him full access to all her wonderful photos and memories of old Hollywood; 3) Because it seemed like a nice creative outlet for his budding career as a graphic designer. That leads nicely into Paul's big news of the year... He changed careers back in April! After seven-and-a-half years at the California Community Foundation, he'd finally gone as far as he could go. "Goodbye, Communications Assistant!" (read: glorified executive secretary), "Hello, Graphic Designer!" Paul now works for New Wave Entertainment, designing DVD menus. "What are DVD menus?" you might ask. Click here for more information and a better explanation.

The other major highlight of our year was thanks to Stephen! During 1999's annual holiday party for his job at Crystal Cruises, Stephen's name was pulled out of a hat, and we won free airline tickets to anywhere in Europe! We decided to tie those tickets in with another cruise, our second in less than a year, and off we went to explore the world once more. This time London to Stockholm!
