Site Updates
(Look for any Andrea King Web Site additions
and updates to be posted here. Check back with us soon!)
Be sure to check the Film Appearances and Television Appearances pages on an ongoing basis. They will be expanding in the near future to include additional links to titles and roles, including information and photos related to Andrea's many productions.
The Theatre main page is finished now, as well as it's first link to the hit play "Life With Father." Look for future links to the four other plays listed on this page to be polished up in the not-too-distant future!
The "Angel Street" page is now complete. You'll find interesting information and reminiscences from Andrea about this play and others under the Theatre section.
Under the Film Appearances page, you'll now find new links to the horror cult-classic "The Beast With Five Fingers," as well as Andrea's leading role in that film -- Julie Holden. Both new pages offer insight and more than a bit of humor into what is probably Andrea's best-known film.
Two more links are ready on the Film Appearances page! Check out "Red Planet Mars." Andrea King stars as Linda Cronyn opposite a young Peter Graves in this 1950s Sci-Fi drama!
There is now a new link on the Theatre page to "Fly Away Home," the hit Broadway comedy that introduced Montgomery Clift to the acting profession. Andrea played his tomboy sister in the 1935 play, her second on the Great White Way.
Since several of you have suggested it, we now have a hit counter on this site at the bottom of the main page. Because we wanted a more accurate count, and because we really are interested in knowing, the counter was reset to zero as of yesterday, April 7, 2000. But for those of you out there interested in total numbers, we've had a modest but pleasing 404 hits to this site since it went up in February of 2000.
Another page has been added under Film Appearances. This one's for "My Wild Irish Rose," Andrea's first Technicolor film. It was a wonderful musical that also starred Dennis Morgan and Arlene Dahl. Look for the corresponding page in the coming days ahead to the role that Andrea played: Broadway legend Lillian Russell!
The Theatre section is now complete, with links and brand new pages for "Growing Pains" and "Boy Meets Girl," two of Andrea's Broadway plays, back when she was known as Georgette McKee!

This unusual ensemble docu-drama was produced by The March of Time, and Andrea plays Hilda Bensinger, a young girl living happily in New London, Connecticut, who's life is changed forever by the events of World War I.
Andrea's daughter, Deborah Willis Callahan, has graciously allowed us to post a very personal message she sent out to her mother's closest friends.
